Overview
Overview
Andrew Katon brings nearly three decades of litigation, business, and engineering experience to his legal practice. A seasoned litigation attorney, Andrew represents clients in complex business disputes including employment law, breach of contract, and premises liability, among others. He is admitted to practice in California and Texas state and federal courts and has extensive motion practice and trial experience.
Before entering the legal profession, Andrew worked as an engineer in the upstream oil and gas industry, with experience in Texas, California, and Alaska. His engineering and business work included challenging offshore and urban land-based environments, giving him a practical understanding of the technical, operational, and legal pressures his clients often face. Today, he draws on that background to evaluate legal disputes through both a legal and pragmatically focused lens, helping clients pursue efficient and effective solutions.
Andrew’s multidisciplinary experience allows him to understand not only the legal issues in a case, but also the real-world consequences behind them. Whether litigating a contested matter, advising on risk, or helping clients navigate contractual and employment-related challenges, he focuses on advancing his clients’ objectives while addressing the legal standards and strategic obstacles that shape each dispute.
Throughout his career as both an attorney and an engineer, Andrew has also conducted educational forums and seminars for client workforces, helping organizations better understand legal, operational, and compliance-related issues.
