Overview

Overview

Art Murphy is an associate in the firm’s Philadelphia, Pennsylvania office. He focuses his practice on the defense of premises, product liability, and professional liability cases. His approach to defending cases is based on his experience not only as an advocate for his clients, but from his experience clerking for two judges.

Art has had the privilege of clerking for two judges, the Hon. Steven J. Polansky of the New Jersey Superior Court, Law Division-Camden Vicinage, as well as for the Hon. Mary Kay Costello of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. These experiences, at different stages of his career, have informed how he advocates for his clients.

In addition to clerking, Art has also defended a variety of cases including catastrophic and excess liability matters, product liability cases, premises liability cases, and nursing home and medical malpractice cases. Art has mediated several cases to resolution, engaged in the entirety of the pre-trial discovery process, and has litigated dispositive motions in state and federal court.
