Overview

Emily Walker represents employers in a broad range of labor and employment matters, including employment litigation, workplace investigations, and day-to-day counseling. Her practice focuses on defending private companies and local governments in claims involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour disputes, and other workplace-related matters. Emily is known for her practical, responsive approach and for helping clients navigate sensitive employment issues with clear and strategic guidance.

Emily regularly advises employers on workplace policies, accommodation requests, employee discipline, and termination decisions. She has experience defending employers in FLSA collective actions, Title VII class actions, and matters before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Her litigation experience includes managing complex discovery, defending depositions, preparing motions for summary judgment, and handling EEOC investigations and position statements. Emily works closely with clients to develop practical solutions that align with both legal obligations and business objectives.

Before joining O’Hagan Meyer, Emily practiced labor and employment law in Atlanta and Macon, Georgia, where she represented employers in federal and state court litigation as well as administrative proceedings. During law school, she served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Jeff Hanson of the Bibb County State Court and the Honorable Verda M. Colvin of the Bibb County Superior Court.

Emily earned her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law and her B.B.A. in Marketing, summa cum laude, from the University of Georgia. She is actively involved in the Georgia Bar Young Lawyers Division, including serving on the Board of Directors and participating in the Labor & Employment Mentorship Academy. Outside of her practice, Emily enjoys paddleboarding, pickleball, traveling, and spending time with her mini Bernedoodle.
