Overview

Omid Holakoui is an associate in O’Hagan Meyer’s Labor & Employment group, where he defends employers in workplace disputes and counsels them on day-to-day compliance. His work spans discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination claims, as well as wage-and-hour matters, including class and PAGA actions. A former CFO and federal bankruptcy law clerk, Omid brings both a clerk’s analytical rigor and a businessperson’s understanding of how employment decisions affect a company’s operations and bottom line.

Before joining the firm, Omid served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Mark D. Houle of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California. His work there focused on contested matters and adversary proceedings, researching unsettled questions and drafting for the court, which built the written advocacy and statutory interpretation skills at the core of employment litigation. Earlier, as CFO of Pars Motor Inc., he took part in personnel decisions, employee separations, and the resolution of threatened disputes.

Omid is particularly drawn to fact-intensive disputes that reward careful analysis and creative problem-solving, and he works to understand each client’s business so his advice fits their respective needs.
