Overview

Overview

Taylor Baum is an associate attorney whose practice focuses on employment, corporate, and commercial litigation. Before joining O’Hagan Meyer, Taylor gained litigation experience representing the Oregon Department of Justice in Oregon’s unique post-conviction relief system. As a certified law student, he argued motions and presented legal analysis before Oregon trial courts, successfully litigating matters against experienced opposing counsel. Taylor always welcomes an intellectual challenge and seeks to produce strong arguments that win through their clarity.

Raised in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta of Northern California, Taylor embraced his family’s passion for wind sports and became a sponsored windsurfer after earning his bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Westminster University in Utah. After deciding to pursue a legal career, he devoted his studies to both criminal and civil law before ultimately focusing on civil litigation. Taylor earned his J.D., with honors, from Lewis & Clark Law School in 2026.

Outside the office, Taylor can often be found in the mountains, in Hood River, or along the Oregon coast, depending on the season. He is also a dedicated practitioner of Brazilian jiu-jitsu and has trained for nearly a decade.
